iPhone as a Learning Device

The iPhone has set the standard for smart phone devices and their app store is growing exponentially. Is this a device that can become useful in education?
I bought a new iPhone in February and have never looked back to my old phone. This technology has “kindled” my interest in digital books and other document sharing resources that I never considered useful until now.
So why not use the iPhone as a learning device. Check out this issue from Fast Company magazine where pre-schoolers use the iPhone and other technology (i.e.- Teacher Mate) to get a head-start (“Game On” and “A is for App” articles):
